Bridging the Cultural Divide: Beyond Evidence-Based Practice in Diverse Communities

FROM NAMI – Los Angeles County Council and NAMI Urban Los Angeles

Saturday, April 9, 2016

The National Alliance on Mental Illness is taking its committment to diversity to another level with its Second Annual Mental Health Diversity Conference.  Dr. Erylene Piper-Mandy will present a keynote addressing the paradigm shift necessary to fully embrace culturally relevant practice in the field. We will also hear from clinical experts contributing to the body of evidence supporting therapies that reduce disparities in mental health care and improve outcomes for specific ethnic groups. This program continually strives to transform participants’ cultural experiences into a collective platform for mental health equity among urban communities. Register today to discover, understand, and mend the cultural divide in mental health service delivery.
