Come join us for the annual celebration of May as Mental Health Month and take the opportunity to unite with others in showing why we care!
We will also have the chance to meet the new Walk Manager, hear about the exciting plans for this year’s walk and a special inspirational musical performance by Ramon Cabiling.
Both the Family Caring and Sharing Support Group for family members and Connections Support Group for persons with a mental illness will start at 5:30 PM and end at 6:30 PM.
WeRise is an immersive cultural event featuring powerful art, live performances and bold conversations to help us explore mental wellbeing and a wide range of related social issues. This ten-day engagement will offer a museum-quality gallery plus a full program of special events, music, art activities, workshops and screenings.
WeRise is free and open to the public each evening and weekends. Weekday mornings are reserved for school field trips to provide students with unique opportunities to engage with special guests and event educators who will help students explore the experience with age-appropriate curriculum.
WeRise is sponsored by the LA County Department of Mental Health with support from the Mental Health Services Act through funding dedicated to prevention and early intervention. Learn more about our campaign at http://www.WhyWeRise.LA.
