Adult Residential Facilities provide 24-hour non-medical care for adults ages 18 through 59, who are unable to provide for their own daily needs. Adults may be physically handicapped, developmentally disabled, and/or mentally disabled.

CDSS

Mission: “The mission of the California Department of Social Services is to serve, aid, and protect needy and vulnerable children and adults in ways that strengthen and preserve families, encourage personal responsibility, and foster independence.”

CHEERD

The Countywide Housing, Employment and Education Resource Development Division of the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health provides a range of housing services for homeless clients that includes housing subsidies through the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program and Shelter Plus Care Program; Rental Assistance and Eviction Prevention; and temporary shelter through the Specialized Shelter Bed Program.

Harbor View House

In San Pedro, Harbor View House provides a wide range of critical support services including mental healthcare, nursing, as well as rehabilitative and transitional living care. We are especially proud of the benefits our clients and the community continue to enjoy through the creative programs developed at our Living Museum Art Center, and Performing Arts Center.

      • Licensed by the State, provides non-medical care and daily supervision for up to 204 adult residents, including single/multiple occupancy furnished rooms, meals, snacks, assistance with taking prescribed medications, money management, transportation to doctors and the Social Security office, housekeeping and laundry services.

Mother Theresa’s Tender Loving Care

Mother Theresa’s Tender Loving Care, at 15502 Ermanita Avenue, Gardena, CA 90249, is an Adult Residential Facility  with six licensed beds serving the mentally disabled. 310-800-3472.
